Adam Levine shames American Idol judge

Not cool, dawg. he Voice judge is not happy after a comment made by the American Idol judge, and he’s making sure Randy knows exactly how he feels.

Looks like there’s room for only one music reality series on television.

It has been a war of musical worlds between Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine and American Idol judge Randy Jackson, who are now feuding — again — about which music reality show really has merit, The Voice or American Idol — and Adam isn’t staying quiet.

Apparently the lovable dawg on Fox’s hit reality show commented on its voice-not-appearance, music-talent-show rival during a press tour for the Television Critics Association in January, saying that it is merely a second opportunity for those who didn’t make it onto American Idol.

Ouch, those sound like fighting words to me.

And it didn’t stop there. The American Idol judge even went so far as to comment on the current whereabouts of the first season winner, Javier Colon.

“The winner of The Voice, I will remind you, was an artist who had a deal at Capitol Records for several years, a failed contract,” said Randy, according to US Magazine.

Well, it didn’t take long for Adam to respond, and he did it on Ellen last Friday.

“Shame on Randy Jackson for saying that, because he of anybody should know that if you’re in this business you need second, third, fourth and fifth chances. So we love and embrace having that being part of the show,” said Adam in response, according to US Magazine.

The Voice, which is already is in its second season, features musician judges and vocal coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, who chose contestants based on blind voice auditions alone.

Isn’t there enough room for two music reality competitions? Wait, what about The X-Factor? Make that three.
