Katy Perry has found a new way to relax: meditation. The musician has openly shared with her fans that she practices the peaceful act to deal with stress, and shows us there are other ways besides partying to unwind and have a good time.
Katy Perry is finding inner peace in the most unique, stress-free way — through meditation.
Yes, putting the stress of her hectic music career on the back burner for a moment or so, the “Part of Me” singer has revealed that relaxing the mind and body through peaceful and spiritual chanting can be beneficial. The singer shared a photo of herself on Twitter, lounging on a hammock with a beautiful green, flower scenery behind her and with a single-line tweet reading, “Shanti shanti *Ohhhmmmm*”
That’s right, Katy. Just push everything out of your mind: Russell, Robert, busy schedule, hair appointments, movie premiere — everything.
The musician also dresses the part, wearing what looks like a colourful pastel robe and pink sweats. And of course, all the colours coordinate perfectly with her new dark purple hair.
The 27-year-old isn’t the only celebrity to reveal that finding inner peace has been an important part of their life lately. Former troubled starlet and actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly started chanting with rock royalty Courtney Love. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Courtney said that Lindsay was part of a chanting group and would come to the 47-year-old’s house to chant.
“There’s like, seven women coming to chant on Friday. [It’s] a women’s group,” says Courtney during the interview. “She’s coming to chant, which is good for her.”
Lindsay and now Katy. Maybe these ladies should start a celebrity-only chanting club and get their other celebrity friends onboard.
