First Zac Efron, then Miley Cyrus and now Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl star is the latest of the young celebrities in Hollywood to act out a sultry sex scene all for the sake of acting, and Blake says the experience was definitely a new one for her.
A menage a trois for Blake Lively?
From the streets of Manhattan to the sheets of the bed, Blake Lively is getting a little, well, very racy in her new movie, Savages, which shows the Gossip Girl actress participating in a highly sexual scene. Blake, who plays Ophelia in the Oliver Stone flick, tells toofab.com that doing the sex scenes and the daring threesome with co-stars Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson was very different from her usual acting scenes, to say the least.
“It was definitely really challenging, because you’re on a set with 40 people, and the boys are standing there naked,” says Blake to toofab.com. “That’s always a little awkward.”
Definitely sounds awkward, considering the only somewhat intimate, sexy scene Blake has acted in was making out with Dan Humphrey or Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl.
Blake’s co-star Taylor Kitsch says he also thought the sex scenes were “very awkward to do” and that he was glad they filmed them the first week of shooting.
“I was just glad it was over with, to be honest. It’s a pretty intense reveal…” says Taylor.
Blake isn’t the only young celebrity starlet to graduate into more serious and revealing acting roles. Last month, former Disney queen and newly engaged Miley Cyrus talked about performing in an intimate scene for her film LOL, and says she thought doing the scene was a bit awkward, but for different reasons.
“It was the first scene we shot together. First day, and it was the sex scene. I forgot to shave my legs. I was in the trailer, and I was like, ‘Give me a razor, quick,'” said Miley, according to The Sun UK.
But although she wasn’t prepared physically, the 19-year-old admitted it wasn’t all that bad.
“It was really funny having someone lie with the camera and saying, ‘OK, put your leg in your hand. Can we see movement?'”
Hmm… Maybe Miley can offer Blake some advice next time, just to help ease the awkwardness.
