Alessandra Ambrosio slammed by PETA for dyeing dog’s fur

Not even in the name of fashion! PETA is a little unhappy about Alessandra Ambrosio dyeing her dog’s fur pink and purple. Cruel, or owner’s right?

Who doesn’t love blonde highlights for the summer? But believe it or not, dyeing your pet’s fur is never trendy.

Alessandra Ambrosio is staring at the business end of a hissy fit from PETA, after the latter discovered the model dyed her pooch’s fur pink and purple.

“What most people don’t know is that dyeing a companion animal’s fur can cause the animal stress and can lead to complications or allergic reactions that endanger the animal’s health. Our dogs and cats love us regardless of how we look; why not extend the same kindness to them?” stated the animal rights organization.

The fad of dyeing dogs’ fur with princess colours is not new, but who wants a pet that looks like a ball of cotton candy? Many treat their pets as an “accessory.” Let’s not forget that they are actually living creatures.

Back in March, PETA issued a similar statement aimed at Snooki and JWoww, who’d also dyed their dogs pink and purple. We can only imagine the struggle to force the animal to remain relatively still during the dyeing process; it couldn’t have been kind.

Solution: Get these colour-happy stars some “FurReal Friends,” and they can go cray-cray with their fur.

What do you think? Is PETA way out of line, or should we confiscate the dye bottles from these stars?
