Elton John will host his own radio show

Anything to do with Elton John is bound to be amazing, so we’re not worried. The singer will be hosting his own BBC Radio show, playing some of the music that influenced and inspired him.

Are you ready for some soft rock hits with DJ Elton?

BBC Radio is about to get a little cooler with a new two-hour program hosted by Elton John, featuring his favourite music.

The Grammy- and Oscar-winning performer is going to be the subject of a whole season of radio shows on Radio 2 across the August Bank holiday.

The Elton John extravaganza will kick off on Aug. 22 with the Trevor Nelson Soul Show: Elton Special, exploring the soulful side of the singer’s music. The next day, the radio will air an in-concert special of Sir Elton John’s Red Piano Show, recorded at London’s O2 Arena.

And the season will conclude with the The Elton John Show hosted by the icon himself, treating listeners to the music he grew up on and was influenced by.

We don’t know about you, but this sounds exciiiting! We’d skip right to the two-hour-long music romance with Elton, and scrap the rest. This will be a great opportunity to experience the music that helped shape one of the greatest music icons of our time.
