The hunky-dunky Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Minnillo had their first child together — a wee little baby boy! Now to everybody’s favourite part: What’s his name?
Say “halloo” to Camden John Lachey!
“We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey,” the couple said in a statement to E! News. “Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us.”
If you’re loving the old-school ring of Camden, here’s some info on its origins. First off, there is a town in New Jersey and a district in inner London of the same name. Second, Camden is of Gaelic origin, meaning “winding valley,” and is a rare name to come across nowadays. So as far as baby boy names go, this one’s unusual and, let’s be honest, pretty darn cool.
Lachey and Minnillo married last summer and announced their pregnancy in June. Nick was previously married to Jessica Simpson. The two divorced in 2006.
