Looks like Drew Barrymore will be busting out the pink decor! The charming actress has finally given birth to her little bundle of joy, and she and her husband couldn’t be happier with the newest addition to the family.
Drew Barrymore is finally a mommy!
The adorable child-star-turned-Hollywood-darling gave birth to her first child with new hubby Will Kopelman on Sept. 26, confirmed the couple’s rep to People.
“We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born Sept. 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family,” gushed the new parents in a statement to People. “Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives.”
Just Olive. Looks like Drew wants her little girl to be just as humble as she herself is and is starting her off with a humble yet sweet name.
Though we’re grinning from ear to ear just picturing how adorable little baby Olive’s cheeks are and how she probably has her mom’s genuine smile, we can’t help but wonder why the 37-year-old actress waited five days to announce the big news. Maybe not to steal Reese Witherspoon’s baby thunder with the birth of her new son, Tennessee James? In any case, we’re just glad Drew’s October is starting off on a high note.
This is the first child for the He’s Just Not That Into You star and her new husband. The two got married this past June and spilled the pregnancy news the best way a celebrity knows how: through suggestive and undeniable baby bump photos. And although Drew was sneaky about revealing the big news, a photo of the star holding a sonogram was enough proof to fuel endless pregnancy rumours — rumours that in this case turned out to be true.
But there’s no hiding anymore, and friends of the newlyweds tell Us Weekly that Drew can’t wait to break out her maternal skills.
“She’s ready to settle down and be a mom,” says the source.
Well, we’re sure she’ll be a great mom, hands-down. Next on the celebrity baby train to give birth: Adele!
