No woman really knows what to expect when she makes the bold decision to chop off her long locks. And if you’re Anne Hathaway, who you see reflected in the mirror at the end of it all may surprise you!
Considering she had a wedding on the horizon, Hathaway was understandably nervous at the thought of chopping off her locks. But never one to shy away from committing to a role, the brunette bombshell shed her long strands to play the poor and ailing Fantine in the upcoming film rendition of Les Miserables.
But the outcome wasn’t nearly as shocking as she expected in the end. At the New York screening of the movie last week, she explained, “When I eventually looked at myself in the mirror, I just looked like my gay brother.” Well, at least a familiar face was staring back at her!
And now that it’s grown out from the near buzz cut it once was, it looks pretty great! It’s not every lady out there who can pull off a pixie cut. So when you can, you might as well rock this unique do! Plus, all one has to do is watch the trailer for Les Miserables to know the decision was totally worth it, because that is going to be one Oscar-worthy movie!
Personally, we think she looks more Audrey Hepburn than boy-next-door, and what gal doesn’t want to look more like Audrey? Besides, anything is better than the do she had to sport at the beginning of The Princess Diaries, right?
