The news of an Anchorman sequel was exciting enough, but now we have a date to match it. Director Judd Apatow has announced the release date for the much-anticipated film.
Now we know when the Legend returns. Do you smell that? That’s the smell of desire.
Glorious news, everybody: Anchorman 2 has a release date! Cookie, we give you an hour before you’ll be doing the no-pants dance from excitement.
Yes, this does mean we will be squeezing in as many Anchorman phrases as humanly possible into this thing.
“One year from tomorrow Anchorman 2 will be in theaters!! It is kind of a big deal,” Judd Apatow tweeted today.
That’s how you get people excited about a film; studies show that 60 per cent of the time, it works every time. Bam! In case there is confusion, the release date has been coyly set for Dec. 20, 2013.
The making of the sequel was confirmed back in March, and the entire Action 4 News team is expected to return. That’s correct; we’re talking Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner. This film could not possibly be anything less than amazing.
What do you guys think? Are you excited?
