Patrick Dempsey to the rescue of coffee chain!

Aw, could we love him any more? We don’t think so. Patrick Dempsey is leading a group hoping to purchase a bankrupt Washington coffee chain, Tully’s Coffee.

Oooh… Hello, gorgeous!

McDreamy — erm, Patrick Dempsey, that is — is heading a group of the willing to rescue a Washington-based chain, Tully’s Coffee, from otherwise certain doom.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in October and is already closing several locations. Cue Dempsey’s rescue team!

“I’m excited about the opportunity to save hundreds of jobs, give back to Seattle and become a larger part of the economic growth and fabric of the community,” the actor said in a statement.

“I’ve always loved this city, and with the purchase of Tully’s Coffee, I plan to spend a lot of time in Seattle and at the stores, connecting with the community and growing the Tully’s brand. It looks like Seattle may be my home away from home in the very near future.”

Now this is a lesson other celebrities should absorb. There are struggling businesses all over the United States and Canada that could use a helping hand (made out of money). It doesn’t need to be a charity to qualify as a worthy cause!

The bankruptcy auction is scheduled for Jan. 3. We hope Dempsey and amigos are triumphant in their crusade to rescue the coffee chain! Opinions?
