The woes of constant touring and merciless exhaustion… Rihanna cancelled her Boston concert after contracting a throat infection and being advised to rest.
Bad news for Rihanna fans in Boston: The singer was forced to cancel her performance at the TD Arena on Sunday due to a throat infection.
“#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting on this day forever, and I’m hurt that I let you down,” the 25-year-old songstress tweeted yesterday.
“I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT”
Rihanna was advised against the performance by her doctor after recently contracting laryngitis, an irritation of the “voice box” or larynx.

The fans are being told to hold on to their tickets because the show will be rescheduled. Rihanna’s show in Baltimore is still expected to go on as planned.
Those must be some speedy drugs, no? Cancelling a show on Sunday but going back onstage on Tuesday? Magic. Let’s just hope Rihanna is not straining her vocal cords.
Nonetheless, we wish Ri-Ri a speedy recovery and hope her Boston fans will get to see her soon. If not, they can always come up for the concert in Montreal or Toronto at the end of March. Opinions?
