An unlikely combination, but it just might work. A Flintstones animated film is in development, thanks to an agreement between Warner Bros. and WWE Studios.
Yabadabadoo! We had to. Don’t judge us.
Per Deadline, The Flintstones is returning to the big screen in a new film deal hammered out by Warner Bros. and (surprisingly enough!) WWE Studios.
This brand new animated feature is slated for release in 2015 and will combine the adorableness of your favourite Flintstones characters with the brawn of the folks at WWE, like John Cena.

“WWE is family-friendly entertainment, so partnering with Warner Bros. on a Flintstones/WWE project was a natural extension of our Scooby Doo deal,” Michael Luisi, president of WWE Studios, told Deadline. “This new animated feature allows us to showcase our brand with young fans and loyal Flintstones enthusiasts alike.”
The Flintstones came to prominence as a television series in the 1960s (with several television movies made), then revived again in 1994 as a live-action film, The Flintstones, and then again, as another live-action film, in 2000, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas.
So, the prowess of Warner Bros. and the power of WWE… What do you think of the combination?
