Ron Burgundy is publishing a memoir!

The amazing San Diego newsman, Ron Burgundy, is publishing his very own memoir this fall. It will recount a phenomenal “life.”

Lookie, lookie what I got right here! It appears that the legendary Ron Burgundy has decided to pen his own memoir, the release of which will coincide with the release of Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

According to a Crown Archetype press release, an imprint of Random House’s Crown Publishing Group, Burgundy’s Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings will cover his childhood, career with the Action 4 news team, the countless women and his beloved canine, Baxter.

Anchorman 2 has a release date! >>

“I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work,” Burgundy stated. “I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing. . . I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!”

The memoir will be available for your inevitable and unavoidable enjoyment on Nov. 19, while Anchorman: The Legend Continues will open on Dec. 20.

“The list of legendary American broadcast news journalists is short: Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and, of course, Ron Burgundy,” Mauro DiPreta, vice president and editor-in-chief of Crown Archetype, said. “The printed page will allow Ron to tell his story in a much more intimate way. Let Me Off at the Top! will be a classic for years to come.”

As if anyone has any doubts that this bad boy will make it on the best sellers’ list faster than you can say “Afternoon Delight.” Will you be picking up a copy?
