Best celebrity tweets of the week

Oh, these celebrities! They just know how to do it right. This week, Ellen DeGeneres, Rashida Jones and Dane Cook had us chuckling on Twitter.

Maybe some of you are having a rough week; maybe your week has been a breeze. Either way, everybody can use a chuckle or an inspirational message every once in a while.

This week, some celebrities have been exemplary tweeters, and we’d like to celebrate that! We present to you the crème de la crème of their tweets.

Let’s start with a classic joke…

Why do you never see hippopotamuses hiding in trees? Because they’re really good at it. #ClassicJokeWednesday

— Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) November 20, 2013

You don’t need to be fancy with your jokes. Sometimes an old, cheesy classic will do the trick. Plus, it’s Ellen DeGeneres — she’s incapable of not being funny.

Do you like to party?

The most disturbing thing a person can say to another person is ‘do you like to party’

— Rashida Jones (@iamrashidajones) November 21, 2013

While it is funny, we’d like to politely disagree. We think the most disturbing thing a person can say to another person is, “You look just like my first victim.” But Parks and Recreation‘s Rashida Jones’ selection is a close second.

The gravity of the situation

Do you think, in outer space, a person admitting to their involvement in a homicide understands the gravity of the situation?

— Dane Cook (@DaneCook) November 20, 2013

Whether or not they understand the gravity of the situation, the other astronauts might need some space to come to terms with the admission. What a stellar joke, Dane Cook! We love us a good wordplay.

It can never be just good news

A new study has found that women would rather watch TV than have sex. Sort of good news/bad news thing for me.

— Conan O’Brien (@ConanOBrien) November 21, 2013

Well, can’t argue with a study like that! Of course, it’s bittersweet for any TV show host like Conan O’Brien — or any man, for that matter. If only you could combine both…
