In a recent interview, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed what her favourite Sex and the City episode is, and we’ve added a few of our own favourites to the list.
Have you ever wondered which episode of Sex and the City is Sarah Jessica Parker‘s favourite? Well, now we know.
The 48-year-old actress revealed during the speed round on Watch What Happens: Live that her favourite episode trails all the way back to the fourth of the first season, “Valley of the Twenty-something Guys,” guest starring Timothy Olyphant.

Remember? Without revealing too much, it’s the one where Carrie has a fling with Sam (Olyphant), and Samantha drops some of her most memorable lines ever. Such a good one!
We figured if Parker can name her favourite Sex and the City episode, why can’t we? OK, we could pick just one, but we’ve narrowed it down to the top five.
1. “The Drought” — Season 1, Episode 11
This episode deserves the top spot because it has something for every woman. Carrie thinks she’s hit a rough patch with Mr. Big after “tooting” in bed. It embarrasses her, and she feels undesirable because she’s not perfect. Charlotte hits a snag with her man as well, because he is uninterested in having sex as a side effect of taking Prozac. Miranda realizes she hasn’t had sex in months, while Samantha tries to go on a sex fast (which doesn’t last). It’s hilarious and relatable.
2. “One” — Season 6, Episode 12
This is an episode that just makes you all warm and fuzzy. Miranda finally tells Steve she loves him during Brady’s first birthday party; Steve obviously reciprocates. And Charlotte copes with her miscarriage, even choosing to go to Brady’s birthday party. It’s a great episode that reminds you why Sex and the City was so popular.
3. “Real Me” — Season 4, Episode 2
This is a good picker-upper episode. Carrie is asked by a friend to be in a runway show, which prompts her to ponder her beauty and worthiness. This episode also features one of the most memorable Carrie scenes, when she falls on the runway but then is able to get up and finish her walk. There’s also a glorious storyline with Charlotte and her vagina, but it’s too good to give away (a mirror is involved!).

4. “The Post-it Always Sticks Twice” — Season 6, Episode 7
Who wasn’t furious when Carrie was dumped by Jack Berger (Ron Livingston) via Post-it note? And while she was trying to keep it cool, Carrie ended up getting caught smoking marijuana by the police and released by using that breakup Post-it to appeal to the NYPD officer. The episode is funny, and let’s be honest — we’ve all been dumped. We empathize.
5. “Ex in the City” — Season 2, Episode 18
Oh, the finale of season two… Miranda reunites with Steve. Carries tries to be friends with Mr. Big but is crushed when he reveals that he’s engaged to Natasha. Meanwhile, Samantha is dealing with a man who might be a little too well endowed for her. The focus of the episode is the Carrie-Mr. Big relationship, which we think all of us can relate to.
