2014 Golden Globes: Best moments in GIFs

Now that the Golden Globes are all wrapped up and we’re happy, we can go over the best bits of the ceremony with the power of GIFs — many, many GIFs.

It’s over, and we are sad now. The 2014 Golden Globes are all done, and they’ve left us with a wide range of emotions, which we shall discuss shortly.

First, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made us happy. We applaud them! Their jokes were timely, poked fun at the right people for the right reasons, and their improv skills came in handy for the uncomfortable lulls during the ceremony.

Second, the selection of winners made us quite jubilant. The fact that 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston and Amy Poehler all walked away with a Golden Globe makes us want to do this:

Third, the fact that the Golden Globes serves alcohol made some acceptance speeches and onstage presences very awkward. Like watching your Uncle Phil climb his way to the stage during your grade 3 ballet recital…

Overall, the show reminded us of those family gatherings that always turn out to be somewhat traumatic, hilarious and way too long, but we wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. Here is our roundup of best moments through the magic of GIFs (you are welcome):
