Katy Perry has always experimented with her hair, but this is just amazing. The singer has really done something different and dyed her hair green!

You have to admit that spring is taking her sweet time getting here, but Katy Perry figured out a great way to celebrate the imminent arrival of this wonderful season (presently, greatly lacking in Canada). . . by dying her hair “slime green”!

While “slime green” is not the most appetizing or aesthetically appealing hair hue (initially it made us think of swamp water), she actually makes it work. Perry turned it into an ombre effect whilst keeping her bangs black. We never thought we’d say this, but we are loving the slime green!

“SLIME GREEN FOR SPRING by my bb’s @neeenaboo & @brantmayfield at the @mcmillansalon,” read the singer’s Instagram caption.

Perry has allegedly been thinking of changing her hair colour for a while, so this was not an impulse makeover. But hey, if you are itching for a change in time for the sun, maybe dye your hair green too! You may think we’re crazy, but hear us out:

1

It’s unusual

Perry may be a bit of a trailblazer here. We can’t think of any celebrities with green hair. . . So, she receives major points for thinking outside the box. If you want to try something different and more unique, green may not be such a bad choice.

2

It’s in style

The ombre hair colour (when it fades from one colour to another) is very popular right now. Granted, green is not a dominant shade in that category, but Perry may just make it the new hot hue. Follow Katy’s footsteps and you may just become a trailblazer, too.

It’s perfect for the season

This has been the longest winter of life. . . and it’s not even over yet. So, maybe it’s worth considering marking the end of the frigid weather with a colour change. Dying your hair green may just give you the boost you’ve been craving.

So, are you thinking about it? What do you think of going green this spring?
