OH-EM-GEE! What do you have planned for October? Wrong! Clear it all. You will be dwelling in your blanket with a tub of ice cream, clutching a box full of memories and Gilmore Girls for an indefinite period of time. Yes, we did just make that decision for you.
Netflix has just become a god of television heaven by nabbing Gilmore Girls, with an exclusive subscription for all seven seasons of the WB dramedy. Yes, ladies, we are going back to Stars Hollow to hang out with Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel) and the hilarious Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy). Have you cancelled all your plans yet or what?

The series will be available for streaming in the U.S. on Oct. 1, but the Canadian Netflix release date has not been confirmed yet. If you’ve never watched Gilmore Girls, then you are obligated by universal law to watch all the seasons. Sorry, but the law is the law.
So whether you like it or not, you will be binge-watching this show until the very end — it’s your destiny. OK, maybe it’s not destiny, but it will probably be because of one of these reasons:
1. You forgot about this show until now
The show wrapped up back in 2007 and doesn’t get a lot of screen time anymore, so you probably forgot it ever existed. Gilmore Girls is like an old friend who reminds you of how awesome the past was. Which is exactly why you will not step away from the TV until the series’ finale.
2. You finished watching Orange Is the New Black
Netflix is great for many things, but amazing TV shows is not its strong suit. If you’ve finished watching Orange Is the New Black, then you’re probably feeling a little antsy now. Well, 153 episodes of Gilmore Girls will help.
Stop, drop and watch Love Is Strange immediately >>
3. You’re thisclose to watching SpongeBob SquarePants
You’re a grown woman. If you feel yourself slipping toward the dark side and indulging in some SpongeBob SquarePants… then walk away. Hold on until October, and then everything will be OK.
4. You haven’t seen all the Gilmore Girls episodes
Whether you used to be a casual watcher or an avid fan, you’ve probably never watched all the Gilmore episodes. There are just too many! This is your opportunity to forget all of your responsibilities and devote yourself to the series. Do it.
Will you be tuning in, or do you already own the show on DVD?
