The television event of the season has made a serious casting mistake, you guys.
7 Dark secrets about the real Peter Pan include suicide and pedophilia
Peter Pan Live!, a three-hour live broadcast of the musical commemorating the 60-year anniversary since it first aired on TV, hits NBC this Thursday. We already know Girls star, Allison Williams, is playing the lead, but thanks to a “leaked” audition tape, we now know just how much better Peter Pan could have been.
Don’t get us wrong. We love us some Allison Williams. It’s just that she takes herself a little too seriously, you know? And, as this video shows, Jane Krakowski absolutely does not — though we already knew that from her role as lovable airhead, Jenna Maroney, on 30 Rock.
And when it comes to three hours of an actress singing and hanging from wires, would you rather have Allison Williams, who’s (in)famous for that ballad-y version of Kanye West she sang so awkwardly on Girls, or would you rather have Jane Krakowski, the woman who brought us classic hits like “Muffin Top” and “Fart So Loud”?

Are Allison Williams’ new comments on being fat harmful to girls?
The choice here is clear, but in case you’re still on the fence, here’s the video of Krakowski’s “leaked” audition, courtesy of Funny or Die, which includes her not-so-subtly bringing up the Tony Award she won, falling to the floor in a tragic flight-wire accident and making Peter Pan’s part a little edgier with a pixie dust addiction, which, let’s be honest, would be a twist no one saw coming.
And did we mention it’s three hours of prime time TV we’re talking here? It’s three hours. Choose wisely.

So, go ahead — take to the comments and tell us what we want to hear. Jane Krakowski is just plain born to play this role. Right? Right?
Is that you, Christopher Walken? Here’s his first pic from Peter Pan Live
