RHOA cast member Sharon Tucker dies from a stroke

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast has lost one of its own. Todd Tucker’s mom, lovingly referred to as Miss Sharon on the show, has died after suffering from a stroke.

According to TMZ, Kandi Burruss’ mother-in-law suffered from a stroke on Monday, Dec. 1, and died in a New York City hospital one day later.

Tucker was reportedly in Atlanta when he received a call informing him that his mother had suffered from a stroke in New York. He rushed to be with her but when he got to the hospital, she was reportedly unconscious and slipped into a coma overnight.

TMZ reports that both Burruss and Tucker were by Miss Sharon’s side when she died, and they have both been left devastated by her passing.

Tucker took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late mom, and shared a picture of the two of them along with a heartbreaking caption that read, “Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend! I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She’s in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!”

Burruss also took to social media to share some words about her mother-in-law and the loving, caring and energetic woman that she was.
