Love is reportedly blooming between Taylor Swift and The 1975’s Matt Healy, and we think they’re a match made in musical heaven — and have been for quite some time. Anyone who considers themselves a true Swiftie knows that this is not Swift’s first dalliance with Healy. Back in 2014, the two were connected as a potential item. And since Swift’s breakup from Joe Alwyn, it seems like the two might be on again.

1. They’re both musicians
Obviously, this one is a “duh.” But it’s important to build relationships with people who have common interests. Especially because they both don’t just sing. They are involved in every aspect of their music. We’re honestly just keeping our fingers crossed for a duet in the near future.
2. They’re already supporting one another’s careers
According to Hollywood Life, Swift was spotted wearing one of Healy’s band’s T-shirts at the 1975 concert back in 2014 in Los Angeles. Then, Healy was spotted wearing one of Swift’s 1989 album shirts during his concert.
3. 1975 + 1989 = True love
Not only do they both have a thing for symbolic numbers, but they take their music careers really seriously. Swift is currently on her sold-out Eras tour, and the 1975 are gearing up for their own tour as well. Between the two of them, they can both understand what a hectic schedule looks like and be understanding of time constraints.

4. They are the same age
Swift has dated men all over the age range board. One of Swift’s biggest exes, Jake Gyllenhaal, is about nine years older than the singer, while another previous fling, Harry Styles, is four years her junior. Healy, on the other hand, is just about 8 months older than Swift. And, while we know love has no age limits, it might help them have some solid common ground to start building a relationship.
5. Selena Gomez is also hot for The 1975
Swift’s BFF, Selena Gomez, also apparently has her eye on one of Healy’s bandmates, George Daniel. We’re sure they would have the cutest double dates ever.
6. He’s got that long, tousled hair and those bad boy tattoos
Not to bring up Styles again… but he’s a perfect example of Swift’s type. And Healy kinda sorta looks like him. He definitely fits the rocker vibe. Though, he’s more indie than Styles’ pop, we’re thinking Swift really digs those edgy ones.

7. They aren’t afraid to discuss their crushes publicly
We know Swift writes about all her relationships, of course, and Healy doesn’t seem afraid of that possibility. In fact, he talked about his Swift crush before she did!
According to the Daily Mail, Healy revealed in an interview that he and Swift had “exchanged numbers.” And he gushed, “Let’s see what happens, she’s a sensation.”
