VH1 star Stephanie Moseley was reportedly shot and killed in Los Angeles, California, by her husband Earl Hayes on Monday and according to reports, Hayes had been haunted by his wife’s alleged infidelity.

According to TMZ, Hayes, a rapper on Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team label, was particularly upset about Moseley’s fling that she reportedly had with singer Trey Songz around two years ago.
TMZ reports that sources close to Hayes revealed to them that the couple — who were married in 2008 — previously separated because of the VH1 star’s alleged affair with Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson. Although the couple later decided to get back together, a friend of Hayes revealed to the site that “he was crushed and never got over it.”

The source added that Moseley’s affair with Songz was “frequently brought up” and that it caused a lot of tension between the couple. However, Songz was not the only one that Hayes suspected that his wife had been unfaithful with, and he allegedly accused her of having multiple affairs with other entertainers.
After the news of Moseley’s death broke, Songz took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late star.

Moseley was a popular backup dancer and worked with many famous singers, including Chris Brown and Usher, although it is believed that Hayes did not suspect that they had a relationship with his wife, and they were never a source of conflict.
Reports also suggest that Hayes and Moseley’s marriage was not always a happy one and that the Hit the Floor star was planning on leaving her husband months before her death.
“Stephanie wanted out, she wanted to end her relationship with Earl,” an insider told HollywoodLife. “He was always a controlling guy, but things were getting out of hand.”

The source added that “[Earl] was paranoid that [Stephanie] was cheating on him and had threatened to kill himself in the past if she ever left him. The tragic part is that she wanted to leave him at least two months ago and was afraid to end things. She said she didn’t want to hurt him and now she’s no longer with us.”
