More: Listen up! Prides’ “Messiah” is your new summer jam
Scottish synthpop lords, Prides, might be best known for their Indie-tastic “Messiah,” but that doesn’t mean the boys can’t get down to pop. As a matter of fact, it turns out the trio listens to a whole hell of a lot of Top 40 radio on the way to and from gigs and while racing across the globe. After a monumental year for the band, they decided to bestow upon their fans one epic Christmas gift: A mixtape, so to speak, of their favorite songs from 2014, covered by them. It’s, well… pretty glorious.

The guys recorded the session live and at the Old Mill Studio. It looks like it all went down in one take and while we’re mighty impressed, we’re certainly not surprised. Prides is made up of three seriously talented men. While we’d loved to see them earn some more recognition for their own music, we’re still stoked at the thought that this video will pull in more fans and more love for our of our favorite bands of 2014.
