Kevin Hart gives super classy response to crass Sony execs

After leaked emails revealed Sony executives called him a greedy “whore” because one of his associates asked to be compensated for promoting one of the comedian’s upcoming films, Kevin Hart gave a sensible, well-put together response that makes us love him even more.

The executive, Clint Culpepper, and others continued their unbelievably crass and inexcusable banter by saying President Barack Obama must love Hart’s movies because they are both black.

Seriously? How do you people still have jobs?

Hart came out saying, “I worked hard very hard to get where I am today. I look at myself as a brand and because of that I will never let myself be taken advantage of.” Nicely done.

He continued by saying, “I PROTECT MY BRAND… which is why I’m able to brush ignorance off my shoulder and continue to move forward.”

*stands up* 

*slow claps*

Kevin Hart, if we didn’t already love your stand-up and your movies, you would have just won us over with that statement right there.

Hart isn’t the only celebrity the Sony executives have attacked. An email exchange between Amy Pascal, chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and mega-producer Scott Rudin reveal nasty attacks on Angelina Jolie, calling her a “minimally talented spoiled brat.”

Of course, Pascal did come out with an apology, saying, “The content of my emails was insensitive and inappropriate but are not an accurate reflection of who I am.”

I totally believe her. A little bit. OK… not really.
