That’s right, the five guys who you once fell in love with — A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell — have just appeared in a nearly two-minute trailer for their documentary Backstreet Boys: Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of.
The documentary takes you on an emotional journey through the lives of the band members from when they were first starting out right up until they reunited and headed to London, England, to record their 2013 album In a World Like This.

The epic trailer begins with the guys saying, “From 1999 to about 2002, we’re the biggest band in the world. Nobody thought it was going to be as big as it was. Then… it just stopped.”
The trailer gives a brief glimpse into some passionate feuds, with Carter at one point shouting, “I’m not afraid of you anymore!” And there is a mention of their former manager Lou Pearlman and $300 million of theirs that apparently went missing in a Ponzi scheme — which will no doubt make for interesting viewing.
And they also ask a question you will no doubt want answered: “What do you do when you’re a full-grown man in a boy band?”
