One part of Obama’s Sony hack speech made us LOL nonstop (VIDEO)

Today, President Obama officially addressed the frightening hacking situation that has been affecting Sony.

The president called out Sony for backing down after threats were made against the company pertaining to the release of The Interview, starring Seth Rogen and James Francoand made it known he feels the notion that North Korea would ever feel intimidated by the film is just silly.

Terroristic threats were made against Sony and any theater that chooses to screen the film, and that’s seriously scary stuff. Employees of Sony, as well as many other American citizens, have been on edge ever since the hack and subsequent data leak. Our president gave us a reason to lighten up today when he made a little slip on Franco’s name during his speech.

Apparently Obama isn’t a Freaks and Geeks or Pineapple Express fan.

Unlike John Travolta, who totally butchered Idina Menzel’s name at the 2014 Academy Awards, Obama at least picked the surname of another famous person when talking about Franco. Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was tickled to have a new addition to the Flacco clan.

Flacco also wasn’t afraid to correct the prez.

Obama didn’t skip a beat after the misstep and used the press conference to instill confidence that the U.S. doesn’t have anything to worry about, as far as North Korea is concerned. “I think it says something interesting about North Korea that they decided to have the state mount an all-out assault on a movie studio because of a satirical movie starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco,” he said. “I like Seth… but thinking that was a threat to them? That gives you an impression of what kind of regime that is.”

So Obama not only said Franco’s name wrong, but he specifically said he “liked Seth” without mention of his sidekick. Do we smell a new beef here?

While it’s highly unlikely that Obama and Franco are at odds, it’s pretty funny to think about, and it would make for some great fan fiction. Could Rogen’s next action movie co-star Obama? Stranger things have happened.
