Yikes! Actor Dustin Diamond arrested for possession of a switchblade

Dustin Diamond has gotten himself in trouble with the law.

Just one day after Christmas, the actor could have used a little Christmas cheer, because he was arrested by local cops in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.

According to TMZ, Diamond is behind bars after he and his wife got into an altercation with another couple at a bar in Wisconsin. The other couple had reportedly been trying to take a picture of the actor and his wife and Diamond’s wife allegedly pushed the girl on their way out of the bar.

Things then turned nasty between the two couples and the cops were called. The actor, who played Samuel “Screech” Powers in the ’90s TV series Saved By the Bell, was arrested for allegedly endangering someone’s life with a switchblade.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff revealed that Diamond was arrested early Friday morning for possession of a switchblade, reckless endangerment and carrying a concealed weapon, TMZ reports.

ABC News revealed that according to Wisconsin statutes, possessing a switchblade or any “blade which opens by pressing a button, spring or other device in the handle” is against the law.

The former child actor’s bail was set for $1,000. Details on this case are still developing, but according to Us Weekly, the Port Washington police department revealed to them that Diamond was still in custody at midday and will appear in court at 1:30 p.m. local time.
