Little dancer appears in Sia’s new video, but this time in a birdcage (VIDEO)

Lionhearted songstress Sia has a new music video that has Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms donning the blond doll wig inside a birdcage. Sound weird? We’d expect nothing less from these two talented femmes. But wait, is that Shia LaBeouf?

We have to admit we watched Sia’s music video for “Chandelier” dozens of times, trying to fully grasp the meaning of those sharp, staccato yet intoxicating dance moves performed by Dance Moms‘ Maddie Ziegler. Ziegler perfectly characterized Sia’s youthful heart and emotional panic about her fantasy to swing from a chandelier despite being trapped inside a dingy old apartment building.

Now, Sia’s song “Elastic Heart” has a new video. The thing we’re most excited about is that Ziegler is back. From the teaser, however, it seemed as if she’s going to be battling a male dancer in a caged dance-off — not performing a solo show like before. And now that the video is officially out, we can confirm it.

But hold up — that male dancer is Shia LaBeouf! Seriously? Who could have called that one?

Ziegler again wears the familiar jagged platinum blond wig, inspired by Sia’s own blond hairdo. She’s also wearing the flesh-colored leotard from before, only this time, it appears to be quite dirty, as if she’s been running through gritty, city streets.

While the Australian singer has been known to perform with her back to the audience while little Maddie Ziegler dances, Sia’s no scaredy-cat. She toured the world with the British down-tempo band Zero 7 before her solo single “Breathe Me” played over the finale of the popular HBO show Six Feet Under, launching her to stardom in the indie music scene.

Sia’s song “Elastic Heart” is from her latest album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which was released in July 2014.
