Sia, whose full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, recently released the music video for her new track “Elastic Heart” and it’s already causing a lot of controversy, with critics blasting the video for containing pedophilia. Wait, what?

The Australian star’s video for her new track features 12-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler — who also appeared in Sia’s video for her hit track “Chandelier” — and actor Shia LaBeouf. Given the age difference between these two and the fact that they are seen wrestling has some fans feeling that the video is super-inappropriate.
The video shows both stars in grimy leotards (LaBeouf is shirtless) as they dance around inside a big birdcage, until Ziegler’s character frees herself from the cage and LaBeouf’s character desperately tries to hold on to her and she struggles to escape. On another note, the Fury actor is a seriously talented dancer — just saying.

But Sia is not going to sit back and listen to all the criticism coming her way over her latest music video, and she took to Twitter late on Wednesday night to blast the claims of pedophilia. In a series of tweets, the songstress explained her decision to use LaBeouf and Ziegler. She also apologized to those who she has offended and she assured the world that that was not her intention to make the video sexual.
