Lena Dunham is known for her rather unusual taste in fashion, but at the 2015 Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday night, we thought the Girls star looked great. However, the preparation for her look was not quite as glamorous.

Dunham wore a backless red Zac Posen dress to the awards ceremony, which was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and she managed to avoid a wardrobe malfunction on the night, thanks to her nipple pasties — which managed to find their way onto the internet.
The Tiny Furniture actress’ good friend and Girls producer Jenni Konner posted a picture of Dunham getting ready for the big event as she posed topless with her silicone nipple covers — and the picture has not been removed from Instagram yet, which is probably because her nipples are not actually showing — and we all know how Instagram feels about nipple pictures.

However, Dunham appears to have gotten bored during the evening and decided her nipple pasties would be put to better use on her cheeks!
Taking to Instagram once again, Konner posted a picture of Dunham posing with her nipple pasties (this time on her face), and she jokingly explained they have multiple uses.
