How Nicki Minaj reportedly treats her boyfriends

According to Nicki Minaj‘s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels’ latest comments, she forgot to treat him with respect, and she also forgot she was his lover and not his boss.

The former couple’s recent Twitter feud was an indication that the former pair did not end their long-term relationship on a good note. Samuels’ (who wants to be referred to as SB) latest interview with New York City’s Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club on Tuesday further reinforces that statement.

Opening up about his relationship with the “Anaconda” hit maker, Samuels emotionally told the radio station that she was his “soul mate.”

In the lengthy interview he then went on to speak about their breakup, and explained that he doesn’t understand why she is trying to bring him down in public because he would never do that to her.

“I would never do anything publicly to try to pull her down. Whatever happens between me and her one-on-one is what it is, that’s personal. And I would never put that out there,” he confessed.

“I could be out here telling a million stories and doing cornball shit, but I’m not gonna do that and I never plan on doing that. I just think it’s crazy for her to come out now and trying to be pulling me down and try to say I’m corny. I don’t care who you with, who you with don’t mean nothing to me. I want you to move on, because I’m moving on.”

Samuels then went on to talk about the end of their relationship, saying, “I walked away. I’m not going to say I broke up, but I’m the one who walked away. I packed up my stuff and I left.”

So, why did he decide to leave?

“I just got to the point where the respect wasn’t there,” he explained.

“Everyone around her works for her, you know?” he said. “So it got to the point where it was like, I’m your man. I’m who you go to sleep with every night. I’m who you wake up with every morning. And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man.”

Yet despite the couple’s bitter breakup, Samuels has described the “Bed of Lies” rapper as “amazing” at what she does.

“I think you’re the most amazing person you are at what you do… Ain’t nobody better than her,” he told The Breakfast Club.
