According to NBC Los Angeles, Lieutenant Leo Bauer of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau told the news outlet that Plitt was struck around 4:05 p.m. local time.
Sgt. Scott Meadows from the Burbank Police Department told People magazine that the death “appears to be an accident.”
“It does not appear to be a suicide. A camera was seized as evidence but it’s unclear who it belongs to — the victim or a witness,” he said. “From the sound of it, he was filming something, but I can tell you that no filming permit had been issued.”

Plitt was also on Bravo’s new show Friends to Lovers, which debuted earlier this month, and his costar Charley Cullen Walters commented on the loss that he and the entire cast are feeling following Plitt’s sudden death.
“The whole cast is shaken up as we just had our premiere party the other night and were so excited about Greg and Melanie joining the show mid-season. I hope people still get to know what a great guy he was via those episodes and his fitness legacy,” Cullen Walters told Us Weekly.
