Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried have tied the knot, but not in the traditional Bachelor way.

The two may have met on national television, but following the show, the couple has decided to keep their personal lives private — which means they opted out of a huge, on-air ceremony.

Hartsock and Siegfried said “I do” on Sunday, Jan. 18 in Palos Verdes, California.

According to E! News, the bride wore a gown by Maggie Sottero. It was a one-shoulder lace dress with a sheer overlay at the neckline. The dress also featured a long train and a veil that “turned heads.”

The couple isn’t sharing any photos just yet (they will appear exclusively in Us Weekly on Jan. 21), but Hartsock did post an Instagram photo on the big day, expressing her love.

Though Hartsock initially thought her heart belonged to another contestant, Brooks Forester, he left the show because he didn’t think it was right and Hartsock realized Siegfried was the one. He proposed at the end of Season 9 with a Neil Lane diamond ring that features more than 200 small diamonds on a rose gold and platinum intertwining band.

“I love you, I love you so much,” Hartsock said in the finale of the show, before Chris got down on one knee. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Though they married in California, the couple settled down in Seattle following their engagement. They dating for a little less than two years prior to their wedding.

Hartsock explained why their relationship worked so well in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, back when the two were still planning their wedding.

“I just think when you know, you know,” Hartsock explained. “And I know Chris and I are going to last and I know we’re going to get married and have a future.”

Her sweet words didn’t stop there, “I feel our relationship started very naturally,” she continued, “and to be honest, we are each other’s best friends. I truly believe, regardless of the show, or if we met at a coffee shop, we’d still be together.”
