We’re quickly hurdling through Girls Season 4 and, as February approaches, it looks like the season for valentines may not be so kind to our girls. Is one of our couples headed for a breakup?

It looks like February could bring some big relationship changes for some of our girls and a possible reunion for another. HBO‘s February episode synopses are out and they hint at trouble for Marnie and Hannah.
Could Marnie and Desi cut ties?
In two upcoming episodes, HBO teases conflict between Marnie and Desi. On Feb. 9’s “Cubbies,” HBO announces, “Creative and romantic tensions between Marnie (Allison Williams) and Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) reach a breaking point.” Nothing about the words “breaking point” hints at a positive outcome. However, the teaser for a later episode hints at continued musical conflict. That seems to suggest that if anything breaks on Feb. 8, it will be the romance, not the music.
Things don’t look better for Hannah and Adam
A breakup with Hannah and Adam seems inevitable, right? As much as their f***ed-up-ness makes them perfect for each other, they’ve also always looked like a trainwreck waiting to happen. And, let’s face it, long-distance relationships are tough, even on more stable relationships. From the latest press release, though, it looks like their issues may come to a head on Feb. 15’s “Sit-in.” According to HBO, “Friends try to help Hannah through a crisis; Hannah and Adam (Adam Driver) have an honest conversation about their relationship.” Will the crisis be Adam-related? Seems likely, though it’s possible school is still stressing her out. The episode synopsis also talks about Hannah needing to apologize to her classmates (and, of course, kinda sorta failing to do so). Let’s not forget we still need to deal with whatever is going on with Jessa and Adam, too.

On the bright side, there’s Shosh and Ray
Throughout the February episode synopses, talk of Ray and Shoshanna continues and it’s all good. As she continues to struggle with finding a post-graduation job, it sounds like her ex-boyfriend will be the one who gets her through. Who would have thought of Ray as encouraging? We’d love to see them together again, though, and maybe see Shosh treat Grumpy Pants a little better.
