Congratulations are doubly in order for the New Girl actress.
Just a week after Zooey Deschanel announced she is expecting her first child with producer boyfriend Jacob Pechenik, the couple has officially announced they are engaged.
Her website, Hello Giggles, said, “So, it’s been a HUGE month for our amazing co-founder and fearless leader, Zooey Deschanel. First, she announced she’s expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Jacob Pechenik. Then, she celebrated her birthday last Sunday. And, TODAY, she’s told us that she and Jacob are engaged! We are SO beyond-ecstatic, and we wish them all the very, very best. We love you, Zooey! Happy wedding planning!”
Deschanel’s rep has confirmed the couple’s engagement as well.
The couple, who began dating shortly after Deschanel’s relationship ended with screenwriter Jamie Linden back in 2014, are said to be “over the moon” about expecting their first child.
This will be Deschanel’s second marriage. She told Cosmo UK back in 2013 after the breakup of her first marriage that she still believes in true love. Let’s hope she has finally found it!
