Don’t you dare go talking bad about Beyoncé, especially if you’re around her
Destiny’s Child sisterMichelle Williams. Former Arkansas governor and potential Republican president Mike Huckabee has been under fire for comparing the pop icon to a stripper, but received a piece of Ms. Williams’ mind on Friday’s episode of The View.
During a stop to promote his new book God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, Huckabee was asked to elaborate on his not-so-nice thoughts on the singer. But even before he could make any remarks, Williams gushed about how “amazing” Bey was and then let the politician share his words. It was basically a “don’t you dare go running your mouth” warning. With a smile on his face, Huckabee noted all the commotion that was sparked by the small Bey mention in his book, saying, “Interestingly, I’ve had so much uproar over half a page in my book, and I say she’s the most amazing singer, great set of pipes, unbelievable dancer.”

However, to make sure his point came across, Huckabee did admit that recent discography is simply not needed. “She doesn’t need to do songs like ‘Partition‘ and ‘Drunk in Love’ in order to be an amazing and effective talent,” he continued.
Cue a very eager-looking Michelle Williams to swoop in to Bey’s defense. Sharing her opinion as someone who “has seen her hard work and who she is,” Williams told Huckabee that those songs probably came at a point in the singer’s life when she wanted to shed a good-girl image.
“She had some freedom and she owned it and she took it. I was definitely offended. I’m not the Carter spokesperson, but to hear some of those comments that you said, I thought [they] were very, very low,” she said.
You tell him, Michelle!
