Emile Hirsch accused of assault at Sundance Film Festival

Emile Hirsch is in hot water after being accused of a mysterious Sundance assault.

While partying at Tao nightclub in Utah, where he is promoting his movie Ten Thousand Saints at the Sundance Film Festival, Hirsch was allegedly mixed up in a fracas with a female exec from Paramount Pictures — but details are pretty hazy on exactly what went down.

“Something happened between the movie exec and Emile, and she said she had been assaulted and asked security to call the police,” a source told Page Six. “Emile didn’t leave the scene, and calmly waited for the police to arrive, and spoke with them until around 5 a.m., after which he went home with his friends. No arrests were made.”

The woman did not press charges at the scene but is still weighing her options, another insider said.

“Currently, this is an active case that we’re still investigating,” Phil Kirk, a spokesman for the Park City Police Department, told Variety. “We’ll be submitting the case to the Summit County Attorney’s Office for screening as soon as we complete the investigation.”

The actor appears in Ten Thousand Saints alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Ethan Hawke. The film tells the story of a teen who is sent to live with his father in New York City after his friend dies of a drug overdose.

Neither Paramount nor Hirsch’s rep have issued statements on the matter yet. The actor’s social media accounts have been mostly emptied of material.
