Rebel Wilson has earned the love and respect of many fans and Hollywood execs, and she thinks that her body has something to do with it.

The Australian-born star has a much fuller figure than most Hollywood stars, but instead of seeing her weight as a negative, she believes it’s an asset.

“I took something that was seen as a disadvantage — no one thinks, if you’re fat, that you’re going to be an actress and everyone’s going to love you — and turned it into a positive,” Wilson told Australia’s Daily Life.

Wilson also believes that it is her size that has helped her do so well in comedic roles because, she explains, “bigger girls do better in comedy.” Wilson is set to reprise her role as Fat Amy in the highly anticipated sequel Pitch Perfect 2. So, why does she think that bigger girls do better?

“I don’t know why. Maybe because people find it easier to laugh. It’s very hard to laugh at someone who’s very attractive, I think. And normally those people don’t have a great personality anyway,” she explained.

The Bridesmaids actress has no plans on changing the body that she is so comfortable in to become one of those celebs who conform to the unrealistic standards of Hollywood beauty.

“I do have these dreams, like, ‘What if I just went to a health farm and lost 50 kilos? What would happen? Would it affect my career?’ But then I think, ‘That’s never going to happen,'” she told the publication.
