Add one more talent to Cara Delevingne’s already-impressive list: acting.
More: Catfight — Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne
The 22-year-old supermodel already has some serious acting gigs lined up — she’ll star in a handful of feature-length films this year, including Paper Towns — in addition to a growing repertoire of music videos and shorts. But surprise! We get to see the model/singer/drummer/Instagram star’s acting chops a little early and we are seriously impressed.
Delevingne is the star in a new atmospheric teaser clip released Tuesday by Chicago’s Chance the Rapper, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett. The clip, called “Nothing Came to Me,” shows us Delevingne can capture a huge range of emotions in front of the camera — check it out and see for yourself!

The video features jazzy trumpet melodies by Nico Segal in the background as Delevingne, apparently playing a performer, appears to get some devastating news just before stepping onstage. In her wordless performance, we see her fallen face, her deep breath, her struggle for composure and her smile just before she steps in front of her audience. Her performance looks effortless, but it’s still so believable. It’s getting us pumped to see what she’ll accomplish as an actress in the next few years.
Chance the Rapper has steadily gained a following with a series of self-released mix tapes. His most popular, Acid Rap, was downloaded 50,000 times overnight just after its 2013 release, according to People magazine. His live shows have a reputation for being super high energy, and word-of-mouth reviews of his performances have helped bolster his following.
His newest release, Surf, includes a full live band. The Delevingne clip looks like a teaser for a full-length music video (we hope!) that may be coming later. We’ll have our fingers crossed for it to star Delevingne, too.
