Downton Abbey stars celebrate SAG Award win

Our favourite historical drama Downton Abbey continues its love affair with the United States grabbing the SAG award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Joanne Froggatt, Sophie McShera, Laura Carmichael and Phyllis Logan were among the Downton Abbey stars celebrating at the 21st annual SAG Awards in Los Angeles last night. Ahead of its sixth series, the show continues to impress American audiences and critics alike. Last night’s award is the latest addition to an ever-growing collection for the show and its cast, including six primetime Emmy awards, three Golden Globes and a Producers Guild of America award. Plus, of course, a slew of awards here in the U.K.

The U.K. contingent on the red carpet was as stylish as ever, with three British actresses giving the LBD their own twist: nominee Rosamund Pike in Christian Dior Couture, Kelly Macdonald in vintage Moschino and Joanne Froggatt in plunging Honor. Felicity Jones looked demure in a column Valentino gown, while Laura Carmichael was a little more daring in her Vionnet dress with sheer full skirt. Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams stood out in her strappy red lace dress, as did mum-to-be and nominee Keira Knightley, who chose purple Erdem for the occasion.
