Jimmy Fallon gets surprised by a huge guest during his impression of Neil Young (VIDEO)

by

You’ve seen him do the impression many times before.

Jimmy Fallon does a pretty spot-on, pitch-perfect impression of Neil Young. Usually, he is picking away at his guitar, playing the harmonica and singing it out to some ridiculous song, like Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair,” and is then joined halfway through with another celebrity, such as Bruce Springsteen, to finish out the hilarity.

This time, Fallon sat in the spotlight, with a hat on and Young’s iconic long locks about him, and began plucking out the hit “Old Man” to cheers from the crowd. And then right on cue, out of the darkness steps Neil Young himself. He pulled up a stool and finished out the song with Fallon, amongst a roar of applause from the crowd.

This is the first time Fallon as “Neil Young” has ever performed with the real Neil Young. And it was as great as you could imagine.

The real Young said during his interview with Fallon several months ago that he has always been a fan of the impressions.
