Gumpel held a conference at a downtown Boston hotel on Sunday, where she made her allegations against Cosby and detailed what she claims happened on the set of the show in 1988.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gumpel says Cosby made improper and lewd advances on her. He had invited her to the set following her first appearance on the show, and she went expecting another audition. Instead, she reportedly arrived to find the comedian waiting for her inside his dressing room, where he handed her a drink.

Gumpel claims that Cosby then made her sit on a couch and then stood in front of her with his crotch up close in her face. Although Gumpel says she refused Cosby’s advances, her career paid the price.

“I never thought of myself as a victim, because I refused his advances,” she told the press. “But my career was a victim.

That same day, Cosby canceled back-to-back comedy shows scheduled for that evening at the nearby Wilbur Theatre. Demonstrators had threatened to protest outside the theater. However, Cosby told the Boston Globe that he had canceled the show due to impending dangerous weather.
