The reality TV star recently took to Twitter to inform her fans about her new beauty salon, saying that she was “ecstatic to be doing what I love!” In the About section of the company, Gloss states, “Gloss and our stylists have been featured in In touch magazine and pride ourselves on bringing a little red carpet magic to our clients. We have trained professionals with experience to meet any styling needs.”

However, according to RadarOnline, the West Virginia State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists is less than thrilled about this new salon, and there are even concerns that what Messer is doing is illegal.
“This business is very much illegal,” a spokesperson for the board told the publication. “We will be launching an investigation.”
So, what exactly is the problem? Apparently, Messer and her friends are not licensed cosmetologists, and should therefore not be offering their services.
What are the Teen Mom 2 star’s qualifications then, you ask? Well, according to a spokesperson for the board, she is “a cosmetology student with more than a year of schooling left. As a student, you cannot perform services outside of the school.”
If the claims are true, then it looks as though Messer’s new salon dreams are going to be very short-lived.

Fans on Twitter don’t appear to be showing much enthusiasm for the salon either, with comments including, “the only way I’d hire her would be if it were halloween” and “So in West Virginia OITNB crazy eyes is the new smokey eyes in the world of makeup fashiom?”
