Coldplay has announced they will be playing two small shows in Sydney in February.
Theirs is a busy schedule. Earlier this year it was announced that Coldplay would be performing at the Grammys, in a duet with Rihanna.
Now it has emerged that, the day after they finish that gig, they will be flying down to Sydney to perform two small performances for 2DAY FM and Sunrise.
Funded by Huawei Mobile, a move some may consider highly corporate in the supposedly artistic world of music, the band will be in the city for two days, Feb. 16 and 17.
Huawei, a telecommunications company, will be streaming the gigs on their Facebook site, and you should be able to catch the Sunrise gig on, well, Sunrise.
The busyness will continue, with the band then quickly leaving Sydney to return to Britain for the Brit Awards on Feb. 21. They have been nominated for Best British Group and Best British Album of the Year.
No fear though, they will be returning to these shores in December. In fact, they will be using their quick February stopover to officially announce the dates and venues for their end of year Australian tour.
