Think Scientology is weird? Danny Masterson has some super-harsh words for you.

The former That ’70s Show actor and practicing Scientologist talked candidly with Paper magazine about why he loves the religion and exactly where haters can stick it.
“I love doing it and have no problem doing it,” Masterson said. “I work, I have a family and I’m a spiritual being who likes to understand why things happen in the world and want to learn more so that I can have them not affect me adversely. So if that’s weird, then, well, you can go f*** yourself.”
According to Masterson, who’s been practicing Scientology since he was only 8 years old, the religion is difficult to explain to people who haven’t studied it or at least read its founder’s book, Dianetics.
“Everything in Scientology is just based on logic,” he explained. “The word Scientology means the study of knowledge. There’s nothing else to it. It’s literally just that.”

As for what Masterson thinks about L. Ron Hubbard, author of Dianetics and founder of the religion?
“He’s a f***ing guy who wrote awesome shit that I love studying.”
Sounds pretty simple to us.
According to Us Weekly, the interview took place at the Sundance Film Festival ahead of the premiere of Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, a controversial documentary about the church. Masterson weighed in on that, too, saying critics of Scientology need to find better sources than the new movie or the book, penned by Lawrence Wright, that inspired the film.
“I heard about that documentary, the documentary where they interviewed eight people who hate Scientology,” Masterson said. “Should be pretty interesting. I wonder if Sundance would allow a documentary of, like, eight people who hate Judaism. But you know, my religion’s fair game, I guess, ’cause it’s new. There’s basically like 200 lies in the book and so therefore he couldn’t even publish that book [in Canada or the U.K. because of the libel laws].”
