First Matt Lauer got the Fifty Shades of Grey outfit treatment, now it’s Al Roker‘s turn.
And, let’s just say, the host was more Anastasia Steele than Christian Grey. In other words, he ditched the suit for an outfit with a few more straps and a lot more leather.

The Today show host sported some nicely doctored bondage gear and nipple tassels, thanks to Ellen DeGeneres, who was having way too much fun with the prank as the video quickly made its way across the internet.
After some people assumed Lauer actually showed up in the body harness and a black speedo last week when the video aired, DeGeneres had to, of course, keep the joke going.
Lauer wasn’t as keen on the humor as DeGeneres, taking to the Today show to set the record straight that he didn’t actually show up to work looking like that. “I wasn’t in that outfit,” Lauer stated.

Fellow host, Tamron Hall, was quick to cut in, “But that’s what makes it so fantastic is that people believe you might wear something like that to work.”
And even though DeGeneres apologized for the prank on her show, she was far from done and Roker was the next target on her list.
As if the leather straps and black booty shorts weren’t hilarious enough, the video also shows the host adjusting his nipple tassels and picking a nice little bondage-inspired wedgy while talking about the weather.

Watch the full video from DeGeneres below, but be warned, you will never be able to look at Roker and Lauer the same way again.
Roker seemed to take the joke a lot better than Lauer. After seeing the clip, he told Savannah Guthrie there “was a little chafing” happening during the segment.
We think the Today show should get back at DeGeneres next by giving her the Fifty Shades treatment, too.
