During an interview with Power 105.1’s morning show The Breakfast Club, the “Bound 2” rapper revealed that he is creating a video game based on his song “Only One,” and it will commemorate his late mother, Donda West.
West’s mother died in 2007 from complications due to plastic surgery, and he has plans to honor her memory by creating a video game that will see users try to help her go through the highest gates of heaven.

“So right now I’m working on a video game for ‘Only One,'” West said. “The idea is, it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We’ve been working on it for like six months.”
We can’t say we’re surprised the self-proclaimed Yeezus is making a video game about getting into heaven. Dare we predict Kanye’s alter ego will be waiting inside the heavenly gates once you get his mother there? We wouldn’t put it past him.
West’s interest in video games is nothing new, but his ideas as a kid were incredibly bizarre. According to Access Hollywood, in 2009, West revealed to Details that the first video game he ever made was very sexual — like giant penis kinda sexual.

“First beat I did… was in seventh grade, on my computer. I got into doing beats for the video games I used to try to make,” he said. “My game was very sexual. The main character was, like, a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. Mind you, I’m 12 years old, and this is stuff that 20-year-olds are programming. You’d have to draw in and program every little step – it literally took me all night to do a step, ’cause the penis, y’know, had little feet and eyes.”
