Attention Gossip Girl fans, we have some seriously good news for you: Lily and Rufus, aka Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle, might actually be dating in real life.

On Monday, Feb. 23, the hashtag Lily and Rufus began trending worldwide on Twitter, and fans have been whipped into a frenzy by the possibility that the second-best on-screen couple (sorry, but Chuck and Blair win) may actually be a couple — even if they didn’t end up together at the end of the series.
Gossip Girl fans will agree that these two would be so perfect together, and judging by these awesome pictures of them, there’s a good chance that the rumors could actually be true.

Judging by their Instagram accounts, it appears that Rutherford and Settle spend a lot of time together. And they’re even happy to just relax and play a game of chess together.
