Kelly Clarkson has trouble finding duet partners.
Recently, during a BBC interview, Clarkson admitted that many “credible and talented” singers have passed on the opportunity to collaborate with her on new music. Lucky for her, after hearing the news about her duo troubles, Fallon came to the rescue, exclaiming he would “love to do a duet with Kelly Clarkson!” At that very moment, Clarkson burst onto the stage, ready for action, asking, “Did someone say duet?”
The duo belted out classic duets, including Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe.” But the grand finale took the cake with the couple letting it rip with Aaron Neville’s “Don’t Know Much” and Paula Abdul’s “Opposites Attract.” It was epic.

But, of course, the internet can’t focus on the fact that Clarkson sounds awesome or looks super comfortable up on stage. They can’t see past her weight.
The nastiness started almost immediately and not just from the general faceless Twitter masses. Katie Hopkins thought she was well within her rights to say some particularly negative things that have been favorited more than 600 times so far.

I know, I don’t know why she thinks she is so high and mighty. I had to Google her to find out who she is, too. But thankfully the internet, for the most part, is coming to Clarkson’s defense.
@kelly_clarkson you are so REAL! Quite refreshing in the world we live in today.

I don’t know this Hopkins chick. She apparently thinks she is important enough to speak for the new mom. But, newsflash, every woman is different. Some women’s bodies go right back to being the way they were pre-pregnancy. Others just don’t. Trust me, I speak from personal experience. So maybe she is having a little harder time bouncing back. Maybe it is carrot cake weight. Who cares!? It doesn’t matter.
You know what matters? That she is enjoying her new baby, that she is healthy and that she continues to not care what the internet thinks about her weight. Let’s, please for the sake of all things holy, give the body shaming (dear god, especially of new mothers!) a rest already!
And as long as Clarkson keeps belting out empowered, what I lovingly call “chick rock,” I don’t care if she grows a third eye in the middle of her head — the woman can sing!
