David Beckham is talented, successful and extremely good-looking, but he might also be one of the best celebrity dads out there.

On Wednesday, the former soccer star took to Facebook to wish his oldest child Brooklyn a very happy 16th birthday with an adorable collage of himself and his son. The first picture shows his teenage son lying on his chest as he kisses his head, and the second picture is a throwback of Beckham on the soccer field alongside Brooklyn, when he was only a tiny tot.
“Happy Birthday to my big boy,” the proud dad captioned the snap.
It’s really amazing to see a dad being so affectionate with his teenage son, a moment that is often too rare in the world that we live in. It’s so important for fathers to let their children know just how much they care about them, and it’s heartwarming to see a father-son moment that is spontaneous and loving, even if Brooklyn is not always thrilled by his dad’s public displays of affection — not that it stops Beckham.

During an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Beckham said of his son, “He’s at the age now where he does not want me to drop him off outside school. He does not want too much affection, but, yes, I still kiss him.”
He also went on to recall a hilarious story about when his son asked to be dropped off around the corner of the school.
“He said ‘Can you drop me ’round the corner?’ … As he was walking into school, I wound down the window and shouted ‘I love you’ to him. He was not happy, but it made him smile a few days later.”

So, what did the 16-year-old son of one of the most-loved celebrity couples get for his birthday? We know at least one present that he was pleased to receive and that was a pair of Yeezy Boost shoes from Kanye West.
